The Worry beads is an accessory object of Greek and Cypriot culture, made of bone beads, amber, silver, glass, hornwood, amber, rocks (eg obsidian, tiger's eye), mastic (sudours), coral, nutmeg, resin, faturans, &c., pierced in the center and threaded through the ends of which are knotted, and which are slowly shifted one after the other with the help of the fingers, or revolved all round the fingers as an occupation. In addition to thread, beads may be joined with chain, leather, etc. It is also called, in the Magian dialect, begleri, although another different but similar object is also known by this name.
